FREE 6 week Weight Loss & Health Challenge
Let's Go! Gulf Coast has partnered with the City of Pascagoula, Total Fitness 365, Singing River CrossFit, and the Healthplex to host a free 6 week weight loss & health challenge! This program is free to all residents of Pascagoula (and surrounding areas) and will begin on October 1st and end on November 11th!
Individual weight loss goals will be set with the assistance of qualified SRHS Healthplex trainers.
All participants who reach their weight loss goals will be entered into a raffle to win great prizes! The participants with the top body fat percentage loss will win the grand prizes!

You just need to stop by the Healthplex during any of the inital weigh in times to register for Lighten Up Pascagoula! We will walk you through the entire program and get you all set!

The mid weigh in should be much quicker than your initial weigh in - it should take only take 5-10 minutes. This is a great opportunity to check, talk with a trainer, and stay motivated!

October 1 Update: The Healthplex has just informed us that they need to cancel their Thursday 6:30pm class because they've had an instructor leave. If this changes, we will keep you posted! This has been updated on the calendars available above.

5210 Personal Training - Stop by Total Fitness 365 on Thursday evenings to work with Let's Go! Gulf Coast's own Exercise Physiologist and Certified Personal Trainer! Whether you come by yourself or in a small group, Cathryn will be there to answer any questions, teach you the ropes on starting a new routine, and work you through a fun fitness circuit!
Aerobics - Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness). This is a great class offered at Total Fitness 365.
Aqua Fitness - This class includes moderate to high level aerobics. Increase cardiovascular fitness, muscle toning and flexibility in a safe environment. Shallow water and various types of equipment are used to enhance this fun and challenging class.
Beginner Orientation - If you are new to group fitness classes, this will remove your apprehension, and boost your motivation! Stop in for this great class!
BodyCombat - Step into a BODYCOMBAT workout and you’ll punch and kick your way to fitness, burning up to 740 calories along the way. This high-energy martial-arts inspired workout is totally non-contact and there are no complex moves to master. An instructor will challenge you to up the intensity and motivate you to make the most of every round. You’ll release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ!
BodyFlow - Ideal for anyone and everyone, this class is the yoga-based class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. During BodyFlow, an inspired soundtrack plays as you bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. You’ll strengthen your entire body and leave the class feeling calm and centered.
BodyPump - Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BodyPump gives you a total body workout. It can burn up to 540 calories. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more.
BodyStep - Basic stepping, just like walking up and down stairs, is at the heart of BodyStep – a full-body cardio workout to really tone your butt and thighs. In class you combine basic stepping with moves like burpees, push ups and weight plate exercises to work the upper body. Instructors coach you through the workout and play invigorating, hit music and inject a whole lot of fun and personality along the way. You can burn up to 620 calories and you’ll leave buzzing with satisfaction.
Boxing Training -
Cardio Combo - During this class, you'll work on a combination of hi/lo (floor aerobics) and step…a little of everything for everyone! Great for beginning, intermediate, and advance fitness levels.
CrossFit for Beginners - This is a strength and conditioning facility dedicated to helping people find joy in exercise. The program is designed to help you improve in all ten facets of fitness: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy. This introductory class will be scaled to each person's starting point, starting from a foundation class.
High Intensity Aqua Fitness - This class includes moderate to high level aerobics. Increase cardiovascular fitness, muscle toning and flexibility in a safe environment. Shallow water and various types of equipment are used to enhance this fun and challenging class.
Open Gym - Stop by Total Fitness 365 to use their gym floor as you wish! The facility will be open to you, so that you can lift weights or work a new circuit - totally up to you!
The H.I.I.T - High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods. HIIT is the concept where one performs a short burst of high-intensity (or max-intensity) exercise followed by a brief low-intensity activity, repeatedly, until too exhausted to continue. Research has shown that HIIT regimens successfully produced significant reductions in the fat mass of the whole-body!
Yoga - Yoga is a form of exercise that uses slow movements and stretching. It is good for increasing flexibility, balance and relieving stress. Yoga has been used as a meditation technique for thousands of years. As you exercise, you meditate on what your body is feeling and try to be “one with the universe.”
Zumba - Zumba Fitness is a global lifestyle brand that fuses fitness, entertainment and culture into an exhilarating dance-fitness sensation! Zumba exercise classes are “fitness-parties” that blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography, for a total-body workout that feels like a celebration.
Nutrition Class - This class, 7 Keys to Successful Weight Loss, is an interactive class empowering individuals to apply the 7 keys of successful weight loss to develop a healthy lifestyle to help promote weight loss. This class is a must!!! Presented by: Deborah Colby, Registered Dietitian/Certified Diabetes Educator at the National Diabetes & Obesity Research Institute at Tradition.
Cooking Demo - This will be a great, one-hour healthy cooking demo! Learn how to prepare a delicious and healthy fall meal - bring your friends and family! This is also a can't miss event! Presented by: Ashley Knecht, local chef and owner of Gourmet Gurl.
Feel Good Friday Walks - A fun walk through downtown Pascagoula to get your hearth pumping! Join Main Street Pascagoula as they lead the three different walks, each Friday - students from local schools will also be joining in on the healthy fun!
2nd Saturday Bike Rides - Bring your family and friends out on the second Saturday of each month for a great community bike ride!
Children's Book Reading - Stop by Whimsy Books & Toys while your little ones for a fun, healthy booking reading! There will also be healthy snacks and a little exercise incorporated into the mix!
Self-Defense for Women - A great class, for women only! Learn self-defense techniques, get motivated, and break a sweat! Bring your friends or family members for a fun morning of self-defense!
